Description

The DGS system in new Citrus shoe is better than ever. A much more stable construction with the same protection, arch support and increased primo protection.

Technology :

Dynamic Gait Stabilization Outsole System.

  • Dynamic: The outsole adapts to each step and point of impact, absorbing nearly all shock energy.
  • Gait : Built in heel cup and arch support guide the adaptive reaction of FluidX Non Newtonian Protection to support your foot’s bio mechanical performance.
  • Stabilization: During large impacts stabilization of the joints is supported.
  • Performance comparison: Nike Janoski Lunarlon 53% energy absorption | FP DGS 91% energy absorption.

Construction:

Features:

Impact Energy:No shoe before has ever come close to the level of energy absorption in the FP DGS System. Expect an entirely new experience.

Board Feel:Because the DGS outsole has been hollowed out and filled with soft FluidX Protection material in the place of traditional rubbers and foams, the FP shoe has superior board feel and flexibility. It’s like a kungfu shoe that absorbs all the energy.

Joint Support:A deep heel cup and arch guide are built into the outsole which guides the impact and helps the ankle stay in a stable neutral position on big impacts and jumps, avoiding over pronation and helping to prevent serious injuries.

Kingfoam Insole:In addition to our revolutionary DGS outsole, each FP shoe comes stock with our signature Kingfoam Insoles. yes, that’s right. You’ll never have to fear a foot impact injury again.

360 degree heel protection: While other shoe cushioning materials start bad and end worse, our FluidX insert will continue to absorb energy from the first day of use to the last day. Simply put, it will out live the shoe.

Extended Durability:Our FluidX protection insert fully wraps the entire heel and even into the back wall of the shoe providing 360 degree heel protection.

Ive been skating for nearly 20 years now, and as I’ve gotten older skating has become more difficult due to knee and ankle pains from years and years of impact and abuse, however, these shoes have made a huge difference. Since I have been skating the FP Citrus, I have been able to skate for hours without any joint pain during or after the session, Ive even started jumping down stuff again which I have been reluctant to do for some time. The impact protection in the shoes is unreal, and even more they manage to protect without compromising board feel, which is a major accomplishment. Ive been so happy with these shoes, I’ve felt revitalized and I’m looking forward to trying other FP models in the future. I’d recommend these shoes to anyone, especially those who who like the feel of skating vulcanized shoes, but who are tired of bruised feet and sore joints. These shoes are the real deal!

Vulc Janoski boardfeel and flick, with major impact protection and vibration absorption.
Stiff at first, but one session broke em in. I gotta say, that heel cup is out of this world. Great job guys.
No heel bruising, and my joints feel great!
The no shock aspect of the shoe took some getting used to, but has opened up my confidence to impact.
I’ll be a returning customer, no doubt.
    My only request… high tops?

    Update to my last post.
One month in, and I finally tore through the outer layer of suede on the toe, revealing the hidden toe cap. Laces still haven’t ripped, and tread is just now starting to fade on my big toe.
The look of these shoes isn’t my favorite, if I’m going to be picky. Just slightly… cartoony.
That being said, I’ve never had a pair of skate shoes feel so reliable and durable.
These shoes feel like they were engineered to be skated in. You just gotta try for yourself to see what I mean by that.
Flick and boardfeel, perfect. Feels a lot like a Nike Janoski in that regard.
As far as impact protection goes, I don’t remember what a heelbruise, let alone, any impact pain really feels like anymore.
Holy shit, you guys cracked the code on that one.
Currently returning to find my next pair, I don’t want to support any other shoe company after this experience.
    9/10

The best shoe I’ve tried, flexible, you break in the first hour, and the best impact protection like no one.

I’ve had these Citrus shoes for 30 months. I just got back from a 20 mile backpacking trip with a 40 pound pack. I normally wear boots on these trips but my boots haven’t been treating my feat too well the past couple times. I decided to just go for it wearing these shoes. I walked through, sand, marshy areas, through bushes, down trails did almost vertical rock climbing, and boulder rock hopping. Keep in mind that I was very careful when walking in the marsh not to let the water go over the soul part. I also am cautious walking slow not to get sand over and into my shoes down hills. I have never in my life done a trip like this and not had blisters or calluses on my feet but this time my feet came out perfect! Even after 30 months of wear on these shoes, my feet stayed dry and miraculously the sand didn’t really enter into my shoes. I’m absolutly shocked! Everyone walks differently and I have a friend who wears out shoes 20 times faster than me so I’m usually pretty light on my feet.
I was able to feel the rock surface under my feet and rock hop a lot with great traction. Also around the tops of the shoes I have had shoes wear out so that the plastic inside supports rub and wear cuts into my ankles but not yet on these shoes!
My only complaint was that these were not high tops. Because of that a rock rolled over onto my angle ball joint and cut me one time. That’s one of the main reasons I always wear boots hiking. I originally bought these just for fun to try out the insoles since I don’t skate anymore. I never really noticed a difference with the non-newtonian technology, however, after the experience I just had, I had to write a review and I’m looking to pick up another pair! They also fit and feel well on me overall.
